Accents are not working correctly in Portuguese (Brazil).

I’m experiencing issues when creating a task and trying to add an accent in Brazilian Portuguese. Taskade simply adds the accented character and an additional unaccented character.
I’ve noticed that this happens in tasks, but not in task notes.
This issue has been present for quite some time, but I’ve only now decided to report it.
It occurs both on the Desktop and Web versions. I’ve tested it on Safari, Chrome, and Arc browsers. The error is always the same.
I’m using a Mac, version 15.4.1.

Obrigado por reportar isso! Having an accent key produce both the accented character and an extra unaccented character is a classic input method (IME) conflict — especially with Brazilian Portuguese keyboard layouts — and it's been a known source of frustration. The fact that it happens in tasks but not in task notes tells us the two editors are handling keyboard composition events differently, which is a very useful clue for our team. We've been steadily improving input handling across the app. Could you tell us which keyboard app or OS input method you're using (standard Apple/Windows Brazilian ABNT, or another)? That will help us reproduce and fix it faster. We know this has been around for a while and appreciate you finally putting it in writing — it deserves to be fixed properly.

Hi, I don’t want to be annoying or pushy. But is there any update on the fix?
Talking with our community here in Brazil, I found out that this issue affects a lot of people.
It would be amazing if you could fix it.
I hope it’s not something too complex.

produtiveme: Hello, due to limitations on the team (no. of people working on bugs, features etc) we have to prioritize which bugs to tackle / features to work on - which means some fixes or improvements will take more time.
for this in particular, it seems to be a problem with how certain type of character inputs are received - unfortunately it is a more complex issue as it affects other features, meaning that it will take much longer to address this.
we have had similar issues before, and there are a few workarounds you can do (for now).
try inputting your text in the Gantt chart, or Table view. you should not face this issue there. Do let me know if it still occurs, as this could mean this bug requires a different fix.
we understand the frustration this can cause. thank you for your patience.

jiawei.kek I'm here to give you feedback that the problem doesn't occur in these two views. I'll pass it on and ask other people to test it too.
Thanks for the tip.
