Deleted Files Remain in Media Manager

Hello! Is there a way to manage the files inside Media Manager? I accidentally uploaded the same files twice, and I've deleted everything from the task they were attached to (so I technically should have zero files), but the files still show up in Media Manager. Thanks in advance!

You can now delete files from the Media Tab directly, and deleted files should no longer appear there. This is live! Please give it a try and report back any issues in a separate ticket.
Simply head to your workspace or folder's "MEDIA" tab, click the three dots button, and you can delete files from there.

This is precisely one of the scenarios where my below-requested feature would be helpful:
Option to Advanced Duplicate Management and Comparison System

universaldesignz: Thanks, we have at least for now added ability to 'Delete Files' directly from Media tab, do give it a try!

I've observed that even after removing projects, the associated files persist in the media manager, making it challenging to clear the storage. I would greatly appreciate guidance on how to efficiently manage and clear the allocated storage when it reaches full capacity.

Do you have a timeline of when you’ll enable this? Not having control over our own file management is very troublesome for many reasons including information security. I can’t comfortably upload files if there is never an ability to get rid of what was there to begin with. This is also not clearly communicated so if you happened to have done it at an initial use, you’re basically SOL. Until this is fixed, I can’t envision trusting Taskade to fully realize its features and use it like I’d like to.

squadscorkage: It's planned for sure. I can't give an exact timeline since we're focused on releasing automation soon. Also, we don't have access to files in your workspace.
It's definitely going to be solved though.

When multiple versions of a document are uploaded, it is currently not possible to delete the older media files. This creates issues when new editions with the same name are added, as well as challenges in maintaining an organized system and concerns about data limits. Additionally, using older versions of a document with AI agents may result in errors in their response.

This gets a priority vote from me. This is still an ongoing issue and I am contemplating buying Ultimate for 1 year... hmmmm rethinking this!
Think about it. When is the last time you used an organization app that disallows organization?
To maintain efficiency, user sanity and organization with taskade all media must be user managed so we can add and delete to our hearts content and subscription level allows.
This is such a rookie oversight of basic programming and user experience that is counter to the rest of the great work that this app has to offer!
Please fix ASAP!

poed: Hey there! We're aware of it, and we'll resolve this. We're going through many architecture changes for our file management to make it more efficient and effective.
Also, I'm open to hearing any feedback you have on how we can improve our media manager and file management!
