Really sorry this has been causing friction in your workflow — losing the ability to do bulk actions on macOS is genuinely disruptive, especially if you rely on multi-select to move fast. We've been actively fixing issues in this area: v6.99 specifically shipped multi-select support for bulk actions on list items, and we've had a string of multi-select reliability fixes across recent releases.
