Agent Chat History Search (Global/Workspace Level)
planned
bmillman22
Can you add the ability to search in agent chats (globally / by workspace). I had a long chat with an agent but (because I have many similar agents in places) I do not recall where the information is. I need to refer to that information but can't. Unfortunately I did not have the agent create a project.

This is such a real pain point — having an insightful conversation with an agent and then not being able to find it later is genuinely frustrating when you're running multiple agents across projects.
We recently shipped some big wins for agent chat management: in v6.101 you can now rename and delete agent conversations to keep things organized, in v6.92 conversations are automatically saved and persisted, and in v6.108 you can export any agent conversation as a Markdown file. Our v6.107 Smarter Search also improved workspace-wide document indexing.
Global/workspace-level search specifically across agent chat history is still planned — we want to make it easy to surface conversations regardless of which agent or project they're in. Your use case (can't remember which agent holds the info) is exactly why this matters.

Hello! Users do have the ability to look through the history of an agent chat. The only work around in your case would be to search through each agent's history - in the case where you really cannot figure out which agent it falls under.
Otherwise, I do see how it could be helpful in the case where users need to quickly find a chat history, but do not have immediate access to which agent it falls under

hey jiawei.kek thanks for the reply. yeah I really need a global search in chat bots.. I don't know how many agents I have but it probably exceeds 100. (multiple folders/workspaces)
I did check the obvious ones but not found.
My workaround is to usually save the chat text to a project, but that can become tedious (I must automate it.. somehow), if I do it manually it is several steps ( and takes me away from my flow) and if I have the agent create a project it often creates it somewhere else or says it can't.(I have to explicitly tell it where which becomes tedius). They have been better recently so I will try that again.

bmillman22: Yea, I do see how it can be useful especially with that many agents on hand. I'm not sure how you're "having the agent create a project". But you can do so manually by pressing this button (highlighted in green) instead.

jiawei.kek I use (after first enabling) Agent Actions to create projects. Its 50/50 where (or if) it creates them. In the screenshot I tried to get the agent to save in the current folder but it didn't. An attempt prior to that it saved the project in the home folder. I am pretty sure it has created projects in Workspaces outside of the one it is in as well. (even though I wanted the project in the current folder, since I didn't specify it took the liberty to do it's own thing)
Using your method works too. It's 4clicks including pressing import that seems to change the format etc when creating the project. More importantly it takes me out of my flow.
It would be nice to have a button that just creates a project in the current folder and have it make a guess as to a title (not "untitled"). No confirmations just do it.
Sorry I think that is another (different) request 🙏

bmillman22: I see. Calling a create project action via chatting with the agent does seem to be a bit iffy.
I do see how the entire workflow could be smoother, especially in your case where you would want to create a new project for each chunk of information.
Perhaps creating a central project where you can dump all these ideas/thoughts would be more convenient for you? Though either ways this is completely up to your preference.
If you'd like, you can create a new post for this different request.
