The AI Agent doesn't have access to custom fields that we create as context. It leaves out crucial information. This should be available to the Agent.

You've identified a real gap — if your AI Agent can't see your custom fields, it's missing crucial project context that could make its responses far more accurate and useful. Happy to share some progress here: in v5.192 we enabled custom fields for AI Agents, and more recently in v6.5 we shipped AI-driven custom field creation where your AI assistant can create and configure custom fields automatically.
We've also been expanding the agent knowledge system significantly — in v6.87, AI Agents got a dedicated Knowledge tab, and v6.95 added support for project context and custom knowledge bases. That said, making sure agents actively read and reason over the specific
values

Leaving a note, Custom field access is supported by the Taskade AI but not Agents at the moment.

Echoing this request. The custom fields (and the preset fields) contain relevant information that I would like my agents to analyze for reporting purposes such as duration, notes, and level of priority. Without their ability to access the fields, the reports don't provide enough information and I have to go back to review the project manually which defeats the purpose of the agent for me.

We’d love to better understand the use cases here. Is this mainly for folks using Table View in a project, chatting with their AI Agent, and ensuring custom fields are factored into the agent’s context and knowledge? Or is it more about setting up automation workflows where AI Agents interact with custom fields and other project-level details like comments, notes, and assignees?

John at Taskade There are multiple use cases around this.
- Filling an entire column with AI using other fields as references and inputs (See Hebbia, Lark, etc.)
- More accurate grouping, referencing, and searching when chatting with the AI (Give me a list of all the leads that are marked as "follow-up" and are marked as "High Match")
- Data enrichment (Search and add any details from the lead's website)
I think everything you've mentioned should be added. Right now, the AI doesn't know everything associated with a task or node in a project. I don't see why not.
