John at Taskade: Thank you for the updates and for allowing us to select multiple links/files/media to add agents knowledge all at once. Do you have any plans to enable bulk addition of media items at the project level as well? From my testing today, it seems that media items still have to be added one at a time. Not a big issue as we can always add media items to the project by adding them to the agent's knowledge first.
John at Taskade
manish.mehta Hi, can you elaborate on media items? You can drag-n-drop to upload multiple files already.
Please do make a separate post on taskade.com/feedback and we will investigate!

It should also support importing more formats, such as pptx, xlsx, docx, etc
John at Taskade
lidaron Please to request those separately, we will prioritize them soon. Thank you! Do let us know the top filetypes missing.

Using Youtube Transcripts as Knowledge Source
manish.mehta
Is there a possibility of integrating YouTube transcripts as a valuable source of information, similar to webpage links in the previous update? This could be an excellent feature to consider in the future, if not already available. There are various use-cases for this idea: Several LTDs currently rely on it (VideoTap, TubeonAI, etc). Other potential use-cases include an AI assistant dedicated to a specific niche covered in a YouTube channel or playlist. (searchie.io already offers this feature for coaches, course creators, etc., for their YouTube, podcast, and other existing media content).
Currently, when I have included YouTube videos as a reference for my Mindmap or other projects, it doesn't always detect the availability of transcripts. If this feature worked flawlessly, many more use-cases could be explored. For example, a. YouTube summaries from your preferred channels (TubeonAI), b. Blogs, tweets, Mindmaps (VideoTap, and others), c. Assistants tailored to your favorite creator channels (Searchie). I will be sure to include this in the feature request.

Narek Zograbian Adding another note to this, adding knowledge to an Agent and would be great if we could add multiple URLs at once to it instead of one at a time.
Narek Zograbian
ajoberlender This is doable now!

Narek Zograbiani saw it in passing on my bursary and have been using it all weekend haha. 5 links at a time it’s great. As always love how much you guys listen to us

Hi there, could you please elaborate more on this request?
Adding a Youtube link in the knowledge source already involves the AI using the Youtube transcriptions, if it isn't available the AI won't be able use that video as a knowledge source.
If you already have the text form of the transcript, you can also upload it as a text file or PDF to the agent.

ryantaskade Thank you for your feedback. I've been conducting tests this morning and will continue to do so. If transcripts are accessible, then it can be used as a source of knowledge to create summaries, mindmaps, and blogs. This functionality is working quite well, and I have verified it. However, a few issues arose during my initial testing. If you have a YouTube channel and you want to provide a list of videos from that channel as a knowledge source for an AI assistant, it currently only allows one video at a time, which can be a little challenge if there are 20-30 or more videos. It would be much more convenient if it could accept multiple video links at once by copying and pasting their links in one go, or specifying a CSV file with links to YouTube videos, articles, or websites as a knowledge source. Another challenge I have encountered is trying to ask an AI assistant to summarize videos directly in the command. For example, if I provide 3 video links and ask for key points to be summarized using their transcripts, the AI assistant is not able to do so. It would be helpful if this feature could be improved to function similarly to how it currently does for web knowledge, where you can provide URLs directly. I am currently exploring whether the assistant can provide references to its knowledge source, such as indicating where the information is sourced from (like quoting transcript minutes from a YouTube video). However, even with instructions, it seems to be struggling in this aspect. It is possible that I am missing some crucial information. As I continue testing further, I have identified a few minor enhancements that could be made. But, you are correct in pointing out that the assistant is already capable of utilizing YouTube transcripts as a knowledge source. My goal is to develop assistants that are highly knowledgeable and potentially serve as digital knowledge assistants for influencers or YouTubers, drawing from the information they have shared in their YouTube videos, online courses, and written content.

manish.mehta: Hi there, thank you for the feedback.
- I'll merged this post together with the post that requested for bulk upload to knowledge sources to help collate the votes
- You observation is correct in that the current AI cannot handle multiple URLs at once.
- We are the midst of developing the capability for AIs to reference. We are looking to release this soon and also work on what types of sources it can reference in progressive updates
An early version of the the reference looks like this:

manish.mehta This is an amazing use case, if you have a chance to share more with others your Taskade workflow, please do, and tag @ taskade on social media, or simply post them to https://www.taskade.com/community!

Some other users have mentioned that they'd like to see something similar to a folder in Media, where you can upload information to that folder and then simply share that folder with an AI as knowledge.
