Allow copy from agent message without formatting
immer
The formatting looks great within Taskade and other markdown apps. However, when copying a message from an agent on an iphone, I have to ask the agent to remove formatting (whether in the chat or in its instructions) every time. I think it would be very useful to have the option to copy the text from the message the agent sent while removing formatting.
Alternatively, please allow for printing directly from the message in the chat so that we wouldn't have to create a project for that functionality.

Hi there, thank you for the feedback, could you please clarify more on what you meant by "allow for printing directly from the message in the chat so that we wouldn't have to create a project for that functionality."
Are you trying to print out the agent's chat message on a physical piece of paper without the text formatting?

ryantaskade hey, thanks for the reply. at times I want to export a chat message that an agent gives me. my intent is to save the information by pasting it in Apple notes, for example. however, if I press “copy” it copies all of the text and formatting in markdown notation and looks pretty bad when pasted in Apple notes or any other program that does not use markdown. So what I do instead is click “Add to” > “Create Project.” Once in a project, we can press “Print/Export” and I’ll create a PDF from it. This way I can save that information and the formatting is visually palatable. It’s not ideal- I’d really much rather have the text (sans bold/title formatting) in my Notes app. but it’s better than trying to screenshot multiple pages of text from the chat, for legibility.
for the record, there is some (very minimal) level of formatting that is universal like numbering and bullet points which don’t cause an issue. for the formatting, I would probably use the rule of thumb that if Microsoft Word can handle it, it can probably translate well between apps.
I hope this is more clear. thanks again!

immer: Hi there, thanks for the elaboration that was very helpful, one question i still have, you mentioned that you still want a minimum level of formatting to be copied over, using Microsoft Word as an example.
However when testing with Microsoft word, pasting in the copied text with bold, number and header formatting causes no issues.
So i'm confused as to what formatting you want removed for the copied text.
Another area I referenced without formatting would be the Cmd +Shift + V paste without formatting function for MacOS, which removes numbered list, bold, italics from a copied text.
Is that what you are referring to?

ryantaskade were you able to test on an iphone as well? I’m sure that is probably a good solution but I don’t have a mac and I don’t typically use taskade on my computer (windows). I did try it again, from taskade to Microsoft Word on my phone, and I’m still seeing the formatting as markdown notation. for example, instead of just plain text, or an actual bolded text, I see asterisks surrounding the text.
It is good to know that if I were to use my PC, there would likely be no issue.

immer: Hi there, I tested on the iphone as well, therefore if i'm understanding you correctly, if we were to build this feature, then following the MacOS's convention of remove all formatting (including numbered list and bullet points, bold asterisk etc) will be sufficient?
