Calendar View should have a section for Unscheduled Tasks
narek
Right now, we can’t actually work in the Calendar view. We have to assign due dates to the tasks in another view and then maybe adjust them using the calendar view.
I think the Calendar view should have a section that shows unscheduled tasks listed in a sidebar or something. We should be able to drag-and-drop tasks onto the calendar to assign a due date.
This section will only show tasks that have a checkbox formatting.

Task list and Daily Calendar view side by side (Split view)
Tanya Sharma
It would be great if we can add a calendar pane with one day view (similar to how the chat pane shows up) besides the task list. This way I can just drag a task to the calendar to block time instead of having to enter all the details while adding a due date

ryantaskade Is there any chance that this feature will come? In terms of planning my days and weeks, Taskade is still not top notch in my opinion. Your goal is to maie us more productive, right? Planning is one of the most important steps in enhancing productivity. I think this process should be more optimized. Split screen and than Drag and drop tasks into the calendar would be great for productivity… I am waiting for any of my favorite project management tools to build this… I don‘t understand why this isn‘t a priority yet!

philip_faderl: Hi there, we appreciate the feedback. However, we don't have any ETA for this. Currently, we are focusing on developing Gantt charts and custom add-ons.

ryantaskade I know, well I just wanted to point out the importance of planning for productivity. You guys are doing a great job, after all!
This Split Screen feature would work well together with the planner feature (101 votes) and the task inbox feature. At the end, the most important delivery if TASKade is if we finish our tasks. Thats more likely if they are planned well :)

philip_faderl: The feature request is very similar to this one:

Narek Zograbian I agree. Just that the emphasis here might be a bit more in being able to drag and drop tasks from the list to the calendar side. I think thats important.
Narek Zograbian
philip_faderl: I'll merge these two and edit the other one to include that feature as well.

Can you please implement this?!?! This would be the most awesome productivity hack ever!!!!

Open tasks as side pane in the calendar day view
Ruoman Yang
For a big project, we usually can only roughly assign a date in the planning stage. But that is not enough to form a schedule for each day. The current calendar view will stack all the tasks that haven't been assigned to a time slot on top of the timeline, but one has to jump into the task page to do any modification. It would be more efficient if the task can be shown as a side pane, so that we can still look at the current schedule while making decisions.

❗️❗️❗️ Split screen / view projects side by side

Basically being able to have "split" views of nearly anything would be helpful. If Tasks and Calendar are in one project, then yes, both views side by side.
I am more interested in seeing different projects side by side and being able to move content between them. (perhaps there are syncronizations as well.. take for instance a "master" punch list that is "rendered by tagging". So you have a note in some project. Tag it "Master Punch" and it would also reflect in a "master punch list".
I realize there are 3 different, albeit related subjects here.

Hi there, to clarify, are you expecting all tasks that are assigned to you to appear in a section in the calendar view? Or are you referring to all tasks without a due date?
narek
I've created a screen recording to help explain what I think should be added.

narek: Hi there, thank you for the video, that was very informative. To clarify, all nodes in Taskade are considered a task, so in your example, the project having no due dates in any of its tasks would mean that having a section to show all unscheduled tasks === The project in list view.
Therefore instead of solving this use case with a section for that, would something like a split view be better? Being able to open 2 views at once (will not have drag and drop features).
Current workaround for this is just to open Taskade in 2 windows and have them side by side. Since projects are synced in real-time, adding a due date to the list view will immediately show on the calendar view.
Do let me know your thoughts.

Hey Ryan! I've addressed how I would deal with that issue on the side.
Also, Calendar View cannot open the chat on the side if it's closed.

narek: Hi there, thank you the clarification, for others reading this post, the suggestion was to:
Have the section only show tasks which have the checkbox formatting within this Unscheduled Task section.
Noted on the chat not having a button to toggle in calendar view, note that it can still be accessed through the keyboard shortcut Cmd or Ctrl + \

Can we have something like in vs code? Will greatly increase productivity, thanks!
