Interesting. 👍
Will this be able to replace Airtable❓
🙂
Narek Zograbian
jack-s: Possibly. Depends on the use case and requirements.

Database tables like aitable.ai would be interesting. That would mean we don’t have to jump back and forth between different tools.. I would set it up as separate documents, otherwise it breaks the UI and in general it wouldnt make sence. I‘d see it as a resource for me, and for AI. And it would be great if these tables could also be generated by AI. Aitable.ai doesnt have this feature, but in general they would be a great inspiration in my mind.

philip_faderl: Great insights, Philip! 🚀 Our new Table View and smarter AI might be just what you're looking for. Tables can indeed be a game-changer, and we're exploring ways to further integrate AI in generating and utilizing them. Stay tuned for updates!

This will provide new opportunities for automation👍

I want tables as database in notion and the ability for AI agents to read this data not markdown useless tables

It would be very helpful to support basic markdown formatting of tables. Nothing crazy. Just the pipe "|" and dash "-" style formatting.
Narek Zograbian
brucerfleck: Do you want this as an add-on for each node? Or are you saying for displaying formatting in AI generated responses?

Other interesting inspirations to get ideas
jack-s
How about creating a table with Markdown?
Eg.
| Year | Snowfall (mm) |
|-------|---------------|
| 2010 | 1000 |
| 2011 | 1200 |
| 2012 | 800 |
| 2013 | 900 |
| 2014 | 1100 |
| 2015 | 950 |
| 2016 | 850 |
| 2017 | 1300 |
| 2018 | 1050 |
| 2019 | 1150 |
| 2020 | 900 |
Narek Zograbian
jack-s: Where would you like to see this? At the node/task-level? Or just supporting this sort of formatting in AI generations?
philip_faderl
Narek ZograbianAt the node/task level I‘d say. But even better if there is the possibility to make extra table/database documents!
Narek Zograbian
philip_faderl We're currently working on custom fields and customizing Action View. Would that implementation work for you?
philip_faderl
Narek Zograbian I am not sure, I thought it might be great to have a database-like feature within taskade. A new sheet resembling google sheets you can refer to, for tasks and AI.
Like for example a list of contacts, and than you can connect a certain row to a task. Or you can ask taskade Ai in which row we can find a certain value, or create a task of it for certain values. Or you could ask AI to write something in a table, like content titles for Facebook, text summaries, or so.
But yeah at the same time we need to keep it as easy to navigate and understand as possible. I liked the idea to edit uploaded excel/csv files, maybe thats a compromise or a start?
Narek Zograbian
philip_faderl We're currently scoping out Custom Fields for Action View. It should address many of the use cases you've listed here.
philip_faderl
Narek Zograbian that sounds fantastic!

xpareto
For me is not a must. Maybe is simpler to have a separate document, referred from outline... to not disturb the actual structure. An excel file..already can be loaded. And created with AI. Why duplicate this in Taskade?
John at Taskade
xpareto: Good point! Keeping things simple is key. Our new updates offer the flexibility to manage projects efficiently, integrating seamlessly with existing tools. Your input helps us shape Taskade's future. Thanks!
