Folder Color Auto Shifts for Light and Dark Themes

Colors that work great in the Dark Theme don't work well in the Light Theme.
For example, I loved having the Folder set to Green, which created wonderfully emphasized Green Links and Highlights in Dark mode, but the Green Font is too faint for Light Mode and Printouts, and actually becomes de-emphasized.
Meanwhile, Blues and Purples are great for the Light Theme, but too dark for the Dark Theme.
It would be great to simultaneously Set Green for Dark Theme Users and Blue for Light Theme Users, so All Users and Print-related needs are satisfied.

This is a really thoughtful observation — a green that pops beautifully in dark mode can feel washed out or hard to read in light mode and print. The core ask here is smart: folder colors should be context-aware rather than one-size-fits-all.
We shipped a light/dark mode default setting for new accounts in v6.81.0, and we've made a number of interface contrast improvements along the way. That said, per-theme color adaptation for folder labels is still something we want to refine further.
In the meantime, as a workaround you could lean on neutral tones (blues, grays, purples) that tend to read well in both modes.
