You're absolutely right — Tab for child node and Enter for sibling is the standard that every major mind mapping tool follows, and it's a convention that becomes muscle memory quickly. We hear you on this.
Currently, Taskade's Tab key is mapped to indentation (which also creates hierarchy in list/outline view), so the behavior in mind map mode is tied to that underlying model. We've made mindmap view loading improvements in v6.31 and continue to invest in the mind mapping experience.
Aligning the keyboard shortcuts in mind map mode to match the Tab=child / Enter=sibling convention you'd expect is a great UX improvement we should prioritize. Your feedback here — especially calling out the conflict with the current Tab behavior — is exactly the kind of specificity that helps us get this right. We'll keep this visible internally.
