This is a great ask, especially for teams coming from other project management tools who need a clean, complete migration path — not just tasks, but the full context of files and comments too.
Currently, our Public API supports core operations around projects, tasks, and workspaces. Expanding API coverage to include comments and file attachments is something we've been considering as part of our broader API roadmap. The challenge is designing endpoints that handle file storage, threading, and attachment metadata in a way that's reliable and scalable.
In the meantime, if you're doing a migration, our AI agents via Taskade Genesis (https://taskade.com/create) can help process and restructure imported data once you get it into Taskade. And we're watching the Public API board closely for patterns in what's most needed.
Could you share what PM tool you're migrating from and roughly how much data (comments/files) you're working with? That context helps us prioritize the right endpoint design. jiawei.kek Yes media and non media files. E.g PDF, JPEG, PNG, XLSX, SVG, MOV, MPEG, MP4, WAV, HEIC, GSHEETS, GDOCS, GSLIDES, GVIDS, AI, FONT

david-ho: for now, you can go to the media tab on the left side dashboard and upload your files there.
Otherwise, you can also add media directly into projects by dragging them in, or clicking on the addons button next to a task -> upload file.
media files are saved per "app"
