Option to Manage AI Agent Interaction History for GDPR Compliance
in progress

Dear Taskade Team,
I would like to propose a feature that allows users to manage the history of interactions between Taskade's AI Agents and users. Specifically, I believe it is essential to have the option to not retain these exchanges due to compliance concerns with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Given the increasing importance of data privacy and the protection of personal information, it is crucial for users to have control over their data. I suggest implementing one of the following options:
- Complete History Disabling: An option to completely disable the retention of interaction history between AI Agents and users. This would ensure that no data is stored, aligning with the principles of data minimization under GDPR.
- Custom Retention Period: An option to set a maximum retention period (in days) for each interaction. We could define how long the data should be kept before it is automatically deleted, allowing for greater flexibility while still adhering to privacy regulations.
Implementing these features would not only enhance user trust but also demonstrate Taskade's commitment to data protection and compliance with legal standards. By providing users with these options, you empower them to manage their personal data effectively, which is increasingly becoming a priority in today's digital landscape.
Thank you for considering this important feature request. I believe it will significantly benefit users and strengthen Taskade's reputation as a privacy-conscious platform :)

Thank you for raising this — GDPR compliance around AI interaction history is something we take seriously, and you've articulated the core concern clearly: users and organizations should have the ability to opt out of retaining conversation data with AI agents.
We've made meaningful progress on conversation management: in v6.101 (February 2026) we shipped the ability to rename and delete individual AI agent chats to keep your workspace clean. This gives you manual control to remove specific interaction records.
That said, you're asking for something more systematic — the ability to configure agents to not retain exchanges at all, or to set an automatic deletion policy — which is a legitimate data minimization requirement under GDPR Article 5. This is an important distinction from ad-hoc deletion.
We're aware that enterprise and EU-based teams have compliance requirements here, and this is on our roadmap as we mature our data governance features. I'd encourage you to also reach out to our support team directly to discuss your specific compliance needs in the meantime. Thanks for the thoughtful write-up!

narek.from.taskade : Is there a way to train the agent to avoid storing any history or data? Honestly, I attempted this but was unsuccessful.
For agents that are public-facing or interact with our audience, retaining chat history seems unnecessary and could waste SSD space for Taskade. I doubt anyone will want to sift through hundreds of chat histories over time. Personally, I know I won’t! :)
