This is live!
You can now rename files directly in your Taskade Workspace > Media Files tab, as well as within your Project Task File Attachments — just open the attachment to edit and rename.
Demo attached from the Media tab.
Keep the feedback coming — thanks, and there’s more exciting stuff on the way!

Hey team! 😊
I was wondering if you could add a couple of handy features. It would be awesome to have a Bulk Rename option, so we can rename multiple files at once. Also, having the ability to do a Bulk Download; where we can select multiple files or even download everything in a zipped format; would be super helpful!
Thanks a bunch!

John at Taskade: Why can't we move around and arrange/rearrange the images?
John at Taskade
Hi xpareto please do elaborate. Are you requesting for the ability to rename file names after it has been uploaded in Taskade?
xpareto
John at Taskade: Yes. Add a "rename" after "download" and "delete". It's easy and useful. Or, at least, keep the original names. by example, I have a lot of bus schedules photos. I don't want to create a separate line for each, only for give them a title. Or, excel files with the budget on each month...
If you want to attach n files to a line...that means ..they have something in common, but...each of them have something specific. That "specific" must be captured . By the title.

xpareto: Thank you, we will keep this in mind in the near future. Please do try again, as we've improved file uploading as well as embedding to tasks recently.

xpareto: Thanks again, hope you saw our recent Media Manager update: https://www.taskade.com/blog/ai-file-chat-project-studio-media-manager/
We will look into prioritizing 'Rename' attachments in the near future, stay tuned.
